Take matters into your own hands and put extra cash in your pocket, NOW…
Every time I turn on the news there’s another update on the economic stimulus package – who’s approved what, when will we see the effects, and what it might mean for me - and then I think, why wait? There are plenty of things we can all do to jump start our own household economies and add a little extra cash to our weekly income, and it won’t cost $787 billion!
Here are five quick tips on how you can earn some extra cash….
• Clear Out The Clutter – Clear out your basement and the attic, take clear photographs of all the things you haven’t used in a year (be tough about this) and sell them online.
• Put Your Hobbies To Good Use – Whether you like to knit, sew, paint or make bird houses, put your talents to good use and start selling items online. Make a small number of items, post them online and see what sells.
• Trawl Yardsales For Bargains – Once you understand what sells well online, visit yardsales in your area and haggle to make sure you pay no more than 50% of what you intend to sell it for.
• Collectibles Can Be Fun To Trade – Many people enjoy trading collectibles as a hobby and some manage to make a good living, but if you are new to trading collectibles, start with low priced items and watch other stores and sites to see what sells and how much it sells for.
• List It And See If It Sells – You’ll be amazed at what people buy on the internet, and as they say, ‘one man’s trash is another man’s treasure’. Take a clear picture, decide a fair price, describe your items honestly and let the internet do the rest. But most of all, make sure to have fun along the way!

We’ve redesigned the website admin section.
We’ve been working hard to make The SOC Exchange easier to use, quicker to navigate, and, to be quite honest, nicer to look at! So, this week we’ve updated one of the most important sections, the ‘Website Admin’ pages.
You’ve been telling us we need to make this match the rest of the site and reduce the ‘clicks’ needed to access your details and manage your site, and we listened.
You’ll find the new admin pages more intuitive to navigate, and the cleaner designer makes it easy to see all your information at once. This will make it easier to update your listings and manage your sales.
Now, when you log in to your website you are just one click away from checking the latest offers, adding a new posting to your blog or sending an email to all those members which have subscribed to receive updates.

BIGGER AND BETTER - ALL NEW FEATURES AT THE SOC EXCHANGE
We’ve introduced new Auto, Real Estate and Career Sections – List As Much As You Want For Just $10 A Year
We want to be the best online marketplace there is, and so we’ve just expanded The SOC Exchange to include THREE new sections; Careers, Autos and Real Estate.
Bringing everything together in one place, makes The SOC Exchange even more useful, and offers everyone more opportunities to find a bargain, or even a new job!
We’re particularly proud of our new CAREERS section – a totally new place to list jobs and browse vacancies. And because this is The SOC Exchange, it costs just $10 a year for employers to post as many job listings as they want – hundreds of dollars less than the other job sites. Employers and recruitment agencies are given their own dedicated website where they can list all their current vacancies and even include background information about their company.
Of course, job seekers will be able to browse the listings and apply for jobs free of charge, and will love the quick and easy search features. You can search by the type of employment you are looking for, by salary, region and even by the distance you are willing to travel to get to work. You can also post a resume to the site and advertise your skills to prospective employers.
We’ve also added an all new AUTO section, where you can sell your car – or any number of cars – for just $10 a year. Cars are categorized as new or used, and then by make, model, price and location; to make it as easy as possible for buyers to find the car they want, at a price they want to pay, in their local area.
Car dealers and individuals will be able to set up their own website where they can list everything about their vehicle(s). Sellers can post up to seven photos per listing to show a vehicle from every angle, so you can include a shot of your custom paint job or just show how well cared for your pre-loved car really is.
The new SOC Exchange REAL ESTATE section is where you can find sales and rentals, both residential and commercial. Of course, as this is The SOC Exchange both individuals and real estate agents can place as many listings as they like for $10 a year.
That may sound crazy, but we’re dedicated to keeping the cost of doing business over the internet as low as possible, whether you are selling last year’s winter coat or your house!
The REAL ESTATE search is split into sales, auctions, rentals or shared accommodation, and then by location, type of property, price, no of bedrooms and bathrooms. You can also search listings placed by a specific property agent. A helpful search function you find on all SOC Exchange sites is the ‘proximity search’ where you can search the distance from a location. This is particularly helpful if you are moving to a new town and want to be no more than say, 30 miles from work, or maybe you want to move within 2 miles of your mom’s house so you can drop your laundry off at weekends!
All these new features are sure to make The SOC Exchange "the place to go to" for the best deals and bargains, to find job opportunities, a new car, or a new place to live and we believe these new additions will get the site buzzing like never before.
